We are looking to hire Resident Assistant (R.A.) to fill every other weekend shift at the Heart House shelter. The weekend shift is from Friday 8pm - Monday 8am. While an RA is on duty they have an apartment area that includes a living room, private bathroom, bedroom and kitchenette area. Main duties are to be here on grounds to answer the phone, do possible emergency intakes, let residents in when they come home and provide limited supervision to residents. The RA is expected to sleep here and not be awake the entire shift which makes having another day job possible and/or being able to do your own thing during the day. This position offers a salary, use of washer/dryer on site, food while on duty and personal toiletries/paper products while on duty. Those interested in knowing more about this position should contact Brandi at brandi@heartlineandhearthouse.org. Click here for an application.

Thank you to our community for helping with our Operation Backpack this year.  Each year we send out  a plea for school supplies, backpacks and donations which allow us to pack a backpack based on an individual children in need, their specific school and specific grade.  Because of generous donors like you, kids in our surrounding communities were able to start school with all of the proper school supplies just like everyone else.  A good start is a head start!

We are in receipt of a $21,000 donation by the Green Acres Foundation, a donor advised fund of the US Charitable Gift Trust.  We are so appreciative of this donation!  It will help so many individuals within our County.

We are so blessed to be a part of the Woodford County Community!  Thank you to all who gave of their time, money and talents to us in 2020!

Area churches who are supporting the Heartline's Benevolence Program are Grace Fellowship, Apostolic Christian Church in Roanoke, Eureka Bible Church, Apostolic Christian Church of Eureka, Great Oaks Community Church, Eureka Christian Church and Crosspoint Community Church.  In lieu of their own program, these churches are allowing Woodford County Heartline to administer funds to area residents who seek emergency assistance with housing, utilities, and other crisis situations.  At Heartline, we establish a protocol for those seeking assistance by not just offering a handout, but genuinely ensuring they are equipped with necessary tools and education to push through the crisis and take steps for their future.  It is also a way for us to have a database of the need in our community, and save ministerial and staff time at the participating church. We encourage all churches in Woodford County to join our program and allow Heartline to be the administrator of their benevolence dollars.  For details, please call Brenna or Brandi.
