Heartline coordinates a variety of programs and classes throughout the year. Two of our most popular programs are Operation Backpack and Tree of Hearts which requires participation from our local community.

JULY -- OPERATION BACKPACK

Each year the number of people in Woodford County needing help with school supplies increase.  In 2016, we gave 251 children from 9 area school districts their grade specific and necessary school supplies so they could start the school year off right.   Operation backpack is available for every child in a Woodford County School with signups beginning in late May and continuing throughout the summer.

We seek school supply donations from the community.   Volunteers are needed on various dates in July for sorting, filling backpacks and distribution.

November – Thanksgiving Meal for the Community

Alone for Thanksgiving?  Newly empty nester?  Family not getting together on this day?  No family close by?  Just you and a child?  Heartline hosts a free traditional Thanksgiving meal in our Community Room at 1pm on Thanksgiving Day.  Menu consists of turkey, stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes, salad, rolls and pumpkin pie.  Reservations are required, and can be made by calling Heartline.

Volunteers are needed to prepare and deliver the food to Heartline prior to the meal.  Financial donations will be accepted, depending on need each year.
