SPAGHETTI SUPPER AND BAKE SALE

Heartline Community Room @ 300 Reagan Drive, Eureka

 

A great opportunity to bring our community together while raising awareness and funds for Heartline and Heart House.  The annual spaghetti supper and bake sale is open to everyone.  Dine in or carry-out available. Cost is $8 per person (Kids under 12 $4 each) for dinner.  The bake sale is by donation.

Volunteers are needed to bake, set up/clean up and serving.   Call us for information on how you could help!

21st Annual race with your heart -  saturday june 10, 2017

We are already gearing up for our 2017 Race with your Heart which will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Eureka Lake, Eureka IL. We are excited to be teaming up with Shazam Racing this year to bring you a bigger and better race day!  

Join us for a leisurely 2 mile walk on a flat surface around Eureka Lake or enter into one of our two challenging and competitive races. Our race course is beautiful; going through the woodlands along Eureka Lake and through local subdivisions.  Both 5K and 10K Distance available. Course is mostly flat with a couple of significant hills ascending Eureka Lake dam.  

Pre-register by May 10 for $25 and be guaranteed an official race t-shirt, or sign up until race time for $30.  $50 gift certificate to male and female overall race winners plus medallions awarded to top three male and female finishers in every age grouping.   We will have raffles, free massages, free continental breakfast and cookies, along with a family-friendly post-race celebration! So plan to participate or bring your cheering section as everyone goes home a winner because it supports the Heartline and Heart House mission.

Same Day Registration and Packet pickup from 6:15 am - 7:00 am Saturday, June 10

5K & 10K begin promptly @ 7:30 am

 2 mile walk begins at 8:45 am (Walker registration will continue til start time)  This year's walk is in memory of Mark Scott, a Heartline and Heart House Board Member who passed away on May 2, 2017.

Night In a Car

 A Night to end homelessness

7 pm Friday November 10 until 7 am Saturday November 11, 2017

Grace Church of the Nazarene in Eureka

On any given night in our community there are men, women and children who do not spend the night in their own homes.  They stay with friends and relatives, in shelters, and in cars.  This new event gives us an opportunity to raise awareness of homelessness and participants will be able to experience a bit of what it might be like to be outside, overnight, living in a car.

The event will include educational presentations on homelessness and the challenges it poses for our society.  

You provide your own car!  Teams are welcome! Gather your  friends, co-workers and church members together.   Each vehicle is asked to raise a minimum of $1000.  Prizes to top fundraisers and top teams!

Register your vehicle by October 20th to ensure you receive a "I survived a Night in a Car" t-shirt.

Are YOU up to the challenge?

Homelessness in our community exists!  In 2016, our Heart House shelter served 36 people (7 were children).  These individuals were fleeing homelessness and/or domestic violence.  On average, people stay from 3 - 6 months in our shelter.  Help us raise awareness and raise funds to continue to have a shelter in Woodford County.  

Don't worry -- there will be plenty of food and beverages provided throughout the experience.  The event ends with a hot breakfast meal as a celebration on Saturday morning.  Throughout the night participants will be able to warm up inside the church building and indoor restrooms will also be accessible.  Come help us raise awareness and raise funds to continue to have a shelter in Woodford County.

DECEMBER  -- BELL RINGING CAMPAIGN

We are able to keep 70% of our donations collected through the Salvation Army Bell Campaign to disburse through our Heartline Program which directly assists individuals and families living in Woodford County.   

We ring our bell on at least 5 different days during the holiday season at several Woodford County locations. Volunteers are needed to cover 1 (or more) hour time slots throughout the holiday season.   To sign up for our kettle bell ringing campaign, please go to the link below and you will see a list of times that are still available.
